Despina Simeonidou is the founder and chief creative officer of Homestories — an interior architect and scenographer based near Stuttgart, Germany.

At a very young age, Despina discovered her love for books. It was never just about reading — it was about the worlds they opened and the stories they told. When she chose to study interior architecture, she didn’t yet see how these two passions belonged together. Looking back, the connection is unmistakable: she has always loved expressing stories through space.

Despina studied Interior Architecture in Stuttgart and later earned a master’s degree in Scenography and Exhibition Design in Basel. For more than a decade, she worked with internationally renowned architectural and experience design studios, bringing narrative depth to museums, exhibitions, and immersive environments around the world. Designing spaces that invite people to linger, feel, and connect has always been at the heart of her work.

Today, she brings this philosophy into the place where stories matter most — our homes. Because a beautiful space is only the beginning. What truly defines a home is the story behind it. Our living spaces aren’t just arrangements of furniture; they are personal landscapes shaped by who we are, what we value, and how we live.
